Resuscitation and Surgical Critical Care Unit of the La Paz University Hospital.

After having gone through the hardest moments of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the

The Unit resumes its normal care activity and once again focuses on the recovery of critical surgical patients.


The Unit is physically distributed in three locations since it provides post-surgical assistance to both the operating rooms located in the GENERAL HOSPITAL BUILDING and those in the SURGICAL BLOCK BUILDING.


-The Multipurpose Surgical Resuscitation and Critical Care Unit of the General Hospital ,

Located on the 3rd floor of the General Hospital ("Rea de la 3ª"), it has 20 beds in total (Critical Care + URPA).


- The Surgical Block's Multipurpose Resuscitation and Critical Care Unit ,

Located on the ground floor of the Surgical Block ("Block Area") has 11 beds in total (Critical Care + URPA). (Image below).

- The Cardiothoracic Resuscitation and Critical Care Unit,

Located on the ground floor of the Surgical Block ("Rea Cardiothoracica") has 11 beds in total (Critical care + URPA).
